The Test System Of Radar Tracking Model In The VTS Simulator

VTS (Vessel Traffic Management) system has made remarkable achievements in reducing ship traffic, improving the efficiency of operation of the ship and protection of the marine environment. It has become an important means of implementing vessel traffic management for maritime sector.As an important part of VTS, the radar tracking system mainly is used to predict and track the location of ships. In the tracking process, the selection of the tracking method should be based on the target motion model. If tracking method used to be not suitable for the motion model, the results may lead to filter results divergence, loss the tracked targets, can not reach the purpose of tracking, so we need to inspect the tracking method. However, the current tracking inspection mostly adopt actual ship testing method, which not only costs high and proceeds harsh conditions, but also can not be pre-tested and have serious limitations, so study the simulation system of tracking inspection is very important and necessary.The paper uses radar tracking data in the VTS information simulator to tracking test, achieving the testing of different tracking methods based on different motion models. The main work of the paper is as follows:First, it analyzes the tracking model of radar tracking system and the ship's motion model, researches the major motion parameters. By this way, we establish solid foundation for the realization of successor system.Second, it analyzes the function which will be achieved of this system, on this basis, designs the flow chart of achieving system function and detailed program of every modules in the flow chart.Again, it builds the man-machine interface by using.NET platform, completes the filtering by MATLAB tools and displays the results in the output interface.
