With the development of digital communication technologies, the digitalization of broadcasting and television system has been generally undergoing. And it is Single Frequency Network (SFN) that plays a very important role in digital television broadcasting system. The so-called Singal Frequency Network is of a certain geographic area, several transmitters launch the same wireless signal in the same frequency band simultaneously so as to achieve the reliable coverage of the region. The network deployment of SFN has the strong anti-interference ability and digital processing ability and it permits the overlapping of the coverage area, which will greatly ameliorate the cliff effect of the original coverage edge and make coverage quality better as well as coverage area broader, so the deployment of SFN is the best practice of broadening the coverage area of digital television. The product that guarantees the synchronization of SFN is the adapter corresponding to its standard.This paper introduces the software design and implementation of digital TV Single Frequency Network adapter. The software disgards the C/S architecture of traditional client software and is fully developed on B/S architecture, which completes all the functions of SFN adapter. Meanwhile, it has the features of short development period, low development risk, fine expendablity, high reliability, high performance cost ratio, which totally meets the demand of transmission adapter of digital televition. Firstly, the paper introduces the development background of digital television and the corresponding technologies of the study in the task. Secondly, it fully introduces HTTP Protocol and XMLHttpRequest object which are related to the control of the software. Then, it narrates the design of the software which controls the digital television SFN adapter especially on embeded multithreading, network management communication strategy and key technology of interface on WEB port. Finally, it makes comprehensive summary and outlook of the work on this paper.At present, the design of the task has been completed. The SFN adapter of the digital television has passed a comprehensive test and the overall performance is fine. Howerver, there are still some deficiencies in the overall design. This paper makes a summary of them and gives suggestions for further perfection and improvement.
