| With the development of 3G(the 3rd Generation) networks, the TD-SCDMA users are rapidly increasing. Providing a variety of value-added services to TD-SCDMA users becomes a universal concern. To make the video call more interesting, the 3G Cool Show Service was born. It will develop the habit of video calls in 3G.The 3G Cool Show Service can flexibly display the picture or video to others during the communication. The service user can customize some images and videos through the management site in advance. And during the video call, the business user can press the phone key to control it display on the other side, to replace the contents of user's camera. With the service, users found another way to express their feelings. They call each other to show their own image. In addition, it helps users protect their privacies.The call control subsystem is the core part of 3G Cool Show Service platform. It processes the call logic, and bases on the EB-NCSP. The subsystem contains four control functions, the call connection control, the media present control, the key pressing processing, and the Cool Show copy control. It based on the present domestic network construction of TD-SCDMA, the standard of 3GPP release in 2004, and the trend of IMS. This subsystem has been successfully applied to the platform of 3G Cool Show Service for China Mobile Communications Corporation in Zhejiang province and Guangdong province.This paper is structured as follows. The first chapter introduces the background of 3G Cool Show service, contains the meaning of the service, and the technology background:3GPP R4 network and the BICC protocol. Chapterâ…¡, details the system requirements analysis, includes business function requirements and the system configuration requirement. This provides the basis for the design and implementation. The author details how to design and implementation the subsystem, including the theory of system's implementation, the design principle, and implementation details. The media control module separating from the call connection control module, makes sure the subsystem reusable in IMS. The implementation focuses on the call connection control module, media control module, and system configuration module. With the idea of CAU(Compare and Update), the media control becomes more efficient. Chapterâ…£, describes the method of the subsystem's functional test and performance test, and a brief summary of test results.
