| With the development of display technology,3D TV,3D film has gradually become popular. The digital micro-mirror device (DMD) has been developed for many years, the application of DMD display including rear projection TVs, data projectors, high definition movie projectors and so on. The advantages of digital micro-mirror display are high-resolution, high brightness, suitable for projection, and can display vivid colors. If the 3D technology and DMD technology combine together, it will be brilliant 3D visual experience. How to merge DMD technology and 3D technology perfectly has become valued. This includes the optical system, DMD drive circuit, DMD display algorithm,3D processing algorithms and other techniques and theories. This paper mainly involves the principle of micro-mirror display system, driving circuit, DMD display algorithm, and DMD 3D display integration and optimization.The DMD-based 3D display system also have a lot of application, but all systems are now part of the DMD display and 3D processing section being separated, which are high system complexity, high cost and not optimized for the DMD display. This paper analysis of two techniques, perform DMD displays with 3D overall optimization, which includes the DMD front-end video processing, display system design, sub-field display processing improvements, as well as 3D integration and improvement of display processing. This allows the system to get a better display, in particular, to solve the DMD bandwidth issue, display distortion, low 3D screen refresh rate issue, and 3D glasses synchronized crosstalk, etc. The entire DMD 3D display system this paper proposed can been integrated into a single processing chip, so it will reduce the complexity of the system, increase system stability, reduce manufacturing costs. Finally, the actual project, using TI's DMD evaluation platform and expansion video receiver board to perform DMD 3D display processing system implementation and validation. |
