| In the cellular mobile communication system, as the user's arrival, the transmission type of business are random, time-varying and unbalance, there is exist some hot cell. In other words, the sever request in some cell is much higher than an acceptable level, then the higher request blocking probability appear. But sometimes, there are available resource in other cells can sever more users in the network. Based on this situation, we can apply a method to switch some users from hot cell to free cell, this is load balancing.Wireless resource is far less than the request of users in the hot cell or congestion cell. Load balancing technology can improve the user experience through balancing the load between cell to cell in network layer.In order to effectively utilize the network resources, load balancing has become a hot research issue. In this paper, according to a mathematical framework of load balancing in 3GPP Long-Term Evolution (LTE) system and based on some target functions, such as the signal-to-noise, cell load and the number of unsatisfied users, we proposed an improved algorithm of load balancing in LTE Networks. In this algorithm, based on the number of cell overload users determine the number of users which need to handover. And select the appropriate users through the handover user select module as the object of load transfer, and use the load estimation of the target cell, we can determine which cell is the target cell. In this way, we will reduce PingPong switching and access failure events. Finally, we use Matlab build a simulation platform, test the performance of the algorithm in different situation. Paper analyze the performance of the improved algorithm through three events, they are the change of the number of overload user, the number of handover user and the rate of users in the network. |
