| In the field of education psychology, Students' learning behavior and process has been the focus of education experts and psychologists. Numerous profound learning theories have been put forward in the education history. This paper investigates the definition, function, characteristics, classification and research status of advanced organizer. On this basis experiments are designed to verify the function of advanced organizer strategy in university computer foundation course.In this research 82 students in two classes which have various professional backgrounds are selected as experiment objects. Experimental class uses advanced organizer strategy. Control class uses traditional teaching strategy. Teaching contents include theory knowledge and practical skills. Experimental research method and comparative method are used to analysis the effect of advanced organizer teaching strategy. Questionnaire method and interview method are used to investigate the students' evaluation on advanced organizer teaching strategy. The conclusions are as follows.Firstly, advanced organizer strategy shows good experimental results in both theory knowledge learning and practical skills mastering. Students' grades have improved in two aspects.Secondly, advanced organizer strategy is effective for students of various branch of learning backgrounds to study computer foundation course.Thirdly, students of experimental class hold positive opinion to advanced organizer teaching strategy. More affirmation has been given to advanced organizer strategy applied to practical skills.Fourthly, advanced organizer strategy has positive significances to improve learning interests and the ability for analyzing and solving problems of the students.Finally, advanced organizer strategy is not everything and is not always effective. |
