In the construction of telecom network, design and construction of transmittion network are becoming more important.Especially, there are all kinds of users using MSTP technology based on the SDH network. So we must think over the expansibility, compatibility and continuity of the network in emphases. At the same time, we also think over the demand of VIP and DATA. We must program,construct and manage the transmittion network in union to achieve the best operating results.Aiming at the new problems in the MSTP network,this paper analyses the MSTP technology and applications which is fit for the SDH network. And this paper design and analyse two applications scheme in order to solve the compatibility,smooth upgrading bandwidth,equipment interconnection, ECC management problems. The first scheme describes the configuration model and characteristic of ChangSha Telecom's transmition network. We analysis the requirements and chosen the MSTP technology based on SDH to develop these requirements. And we also gave the MSTP technology application a detailed analysis and presentation. Firstly, this paper research the situation, development direction,summarize some problems,and selected the MSTP connection mode. Secondly, this paper developed resolving way to the user needs, such as adjust MTU value to resolve the user's data equipment expansibility problem, set rigid channel based on transparent transmission of SDH to ensure the privacy of user's data. Only use of LCAS, CAR, RPR, etc which has no effect on the original of user's frame. Thirdly, this paper improving the formula of attenuation relay distance, raise the accuracy of the construction plan. And calculate 10G high-speed attenuation relay distance to ensure enough data bandwith and upgrading capacity in the new MSTP network. The second scheme, in order to solve the ECC congestion problem in a large transmission network, used the RPR technologies. We designed a ring-based ECC network scheme and developed network principle. The new ECC communications management scheme greatly enhance the security and efficiency of the transmission ECC network. It avoid the ECC storm and raise the possibility of transmission network integration.
