With the rapid development of the economic globalization process, there are more and more group enterprises. In order to maintain high-speed development in the fierce market competition, these group enterprises need to integrate the information from its member enterprises to make unified decision. The traditional centralized decision support system based on static agent has been unable to meet the needs of group enterprises. How to collect the more complete information related to demand of enterprises decision has become an urgent issue for enterprise to make the right decisions. In order to satisfy the needs of group enterprises decision, mobile agent and semantic similarity computation based on ontology are applied to the intelligent decision support system.Firstly, the present research situation and the main problems that existed in the intelligent decision support system are analyzed, and according to the requirements of the decision support system, the intelligent decision support system based on mobile agent and semantic similarity computation is given. Every part of this framework and the two key techniques of the system are described in detail, and the running process of the system is also presented. Semantic similarity computation in the ontology knowledge is studied in depth. Knowledge representation of the domain ontology and building process of the ontology knowledge are presented, and the semantic similarity algorithm based on ontology is improved. In the data acquisition, object pool based mobile agent object management is studied in depth. The definition of mobile agent object pool is put forward, and the relationship between types of the decision-making and objects is researched. The mobile agent object is designed, and the method of how to manage the objects in the pool is researched at last.Finally, the application of mobile agent and semantic similarity computation in the intelligent decision support system is presented, and this system is applied to some shipping company shipping management decision support system for the first time. The practice indicated that, the application of the new technology rises the the efficiency of decision analysis and the accuracy of result. Meanwhile, it enhances the decision ability of leading bodies.
