Research And Design Of Remote Video Monitoring System Based On Embedded Web Server

With the rapid development of the information technology, people no longer stay in the requirements of the signal types of text. They need real-time and more high-quality signal of the video to get more emotional understanding. Video surveillance system has also developed from the traditional analog signal to a more intelligent digital video surveillance systems.For the advantages of small, flexible, low cost and high performance characteristics, the Web-based and embedded-based video surveillance system must be the direction of development in the future. The bases of the embedded systems development are embedded hardware platforms, including microprocessors, microcontrollers, memory, sensors, and embedded operating systems.This paper presents a design and realization of embedded web-based video surveillance system. The system is based on ADSP-BF533 platform which is a new generation microprocessor integrating a DSP with a MCU core. Working on this platform, the design firstly transported bootloader and uClinux to the system, then completed the acquisition of video signal, and also finished video compression, transmission, control functions.With the help of uClinux community's open source application, we build the entire embedded video monitoring system.This article first briefly describes the video surveillance system development status and trends, and analyze the relevant technology base; and then, presentes the ADSP-BF533-based monitoring system's hardware and software design, including each interface module's hardware circuit and the drivers implementation methods under uClinux, These modules include video data acquisition, memory, Ethernet and USB, etc; and then, discuss the build methods of the Web server and video stream server; Finally, test the entire system's overall performance , the results show that the set of video surveillance system can basically achieve the monitoring objective.
