With the world globalization era background, the American'Subprime crisis'finally developed to the financial crisis around the world. Our economic development mainly used the Export-oriented ways all along, the financial crisis impacted each industry in different level. In an unstable financial environment, economic changes changed the masses from passive recipients into active participants and decision makers. Media become to a channel for people to understand the economic crisis, but also a basis for them to make economic decisions. So many of the media in aboard attached great importance to it, conducted large number of reports without no exception. This article is selected from three different representative newspapers,'Guangming Daily','Financial Times'and'Beijing Times'as search object, giving a content analysis and statistical comparison to their report of the financial crisis in November of 2008. To find their different advantage and disadvantage in the reporting of the financial crisis, the article will give advices to the development of the economy reporting of the city herald newspaper.The first chapter with the time, importance, prominence, proximity and human touch the five basic of the news value to explore the three newspapers'pursuit of the news value, individuality and commonness in financial crisis report.The second chapter quantitative analysis the type and news resource of the three newspapers'report of the financial crisis, the proportion of message in'Beijing Times'is too much, the proportion of comment in'Financial Times'and'Guangming Daily'is too much,'Beijing Times'less in deepness report, its news resource mainly relies on the Xinhua News Agency, the proportion of its own is low.The third chapter gives a comparative analysis of the report content, through policy reports (policy bulletin and policy interpretation) and the analysis forecast (cause analysis, impact analysis, trend forecasting, all reactions baking) obtained the different characteristics of report of the three newspapers.'Guangming Daily'is the organ of the CPC Central Committee, in the reporting of the financial crisis concern to policy changes under the state guidelines; the policy understanding has a high proportion. As specialty economy newspaper, the orientation of the'Financial Times'decides its forecast of the economy position. As though'Beijing Times'orientate the city citizen, its report mainly on the easy policy bulletin, in the policy interpretation, impact analysis, the parties and so on, does not reflect the reaction of the people's due attention.The forth chapter on the basis of the research of the first three chapters, discuss the development of the City News'economy report. Giving some advises for the economy report mainly from the Secondary development of the economy report, Increase the number of depth reporting; improve the professionalism of journalists, enhance the original work; base on the citizen, close to people's lives; raise the level of editing, to avoid miscommunication; establish brand awareness five different aspects.
