Research And Implementation On Cluster Management System Based On WBEM

Nowadays, Cluster becomes the mainstream architecture in the high performance compute field because of its scalability and performance/price rate. But the usage of cluster is difficult because of incompact structure, strongly independent nodes and complex network. In order to solve this problem, the popular method is to build cluster management system on node's operating systems. At present, many corporations and research organizations devises all kinds of cluster management system, but these systems are lack of currency because they don't comply with consistent standard.WBEM standard presented by DMTF can accomplish integrated management of host device, network and application in computer system; it is upheld by most corporations and is gradually becoming the standard of system management. The goal of this study is to build standardization structure of cluster management, devise and implement cluster management system based on WBEM, improve its efficiency and currency.This paper introduces concepts of cluster and cluster management, generalizes present cluster management, then analyzes WBEM standard and its architecture, describes in detail the design and implementation of YCMS-cluster management based on WBEM. At last, the paper covers event service and heterogeneous cluster management, present solutions of improving efficiency and currency in cluster management.
