| GSM-R is the new generation railway mobile communication system which canmeet the high-speed and intellectualized development of modern railwaytransportation and satisfy the needs of International Railway Union. At present it hasundergone the three phases of determining standards, testifying system, implementingand has gained the great success in Europe. After formally accepted the GSM-Rsystem as the developing direction of our railway mobile communication in the later2000, our country worked out the standards of railway communication equipmentsbased on GSM-R on February 2004. But comparing with the developed Europecountries, we are still in the stage of researching theory and testifying it in this field.Especially, to develop the CIR(Cab Integrated Radio Equipment) is the pivotal andfeeble link in the whole research work. The CIR is one of the most importantcomponents of GSM-R system, which is responsible for transferring the informationbetween the rail engine with the ground real-timely and bi-directionally. Thereforethis research topic will emphasize on it. By using the advanced technology andexperiences abroad for reference and based on the actual situation of our country, wetry to develop the CIR control software with the independent intellectual propertyright according to the standards. This research work has made a certain sense of activeexploration for introducing and carrying out the GSM-R system technology in ourrailway transportation generally and ultimately, as well as for improving the wholelevel of our railway communication.Based on studying the fundamentals of GSM-R and the functions, standards,relationships of railway CIR, The research topic firstly proposes the selection schemeof CIR hardware around the required functions for designing software. Next, itemphatically explains the designing methods of CIR software based on embeddedoperation system Windows CE.NET with the integrated development tool —Embedded Visual C++ 4.0. Among them, it applies the AT command to control GPRSdata modem to connect with GPRS system, and use the Winsock programming modelto realize to transfer the GPRS data. By these methods the CIR can realize theprofessional functions of receiving, sending, conducting, memorizing and transmittingdata in the GPRS way. Finally, the software is run on the IPC UNO2160 and itsfunction is testified. The result proves that the design meets the demandsfundamentally, and the schemes of hardware and software are feasible. Besides this,the software is easy to maintain and extend for its modularized design. |
