The Terminal Of Digital Language Learning System Based On Embeded System

With the rapid development of electronic technology, Computer technology and Communication technology in Information times and the board application of Internet, and the coming of the post personal computer (PC) times, it is clear that 3C (Computer, Communication and Consumer) will converge in the near future which will lead the focus of Computer Industry from the Compute product to Information product. It also wants the support of Embedded System.Didital language learning system terminal based on embedded system surpports audio point play under network CS mode, text edit and save, examination , USB storage etc. User can also visit data resources of server , easily share and exchange network data via network interface controller. The terminal surpports exoteric infrastructure of digital language learning system, and is convenient for students to login and study by themselves. Moreover, it entends teaching contents of language learning system to after school preparation and review, which improve study efficiency and fulfill requirements of new teaching style for language learning.The terminal is mainly made up of a CPU based on 80186 core , Ethernet controller, MP3 encoder/decoder , USB interface unit, etc. TCP/IP protocols are supported include ARP protocol, IP protocol, ICMP protocol, UDP protocol, etc. In the hardware design, adopt the low-priced, RISC(Reduced Instruction Set Computer) applied, powerful 16-bit processor KT8808 to control the Ethernet interface controller RTL8019AS which is used extensively in embedded Internet, MP3 player STA015T and USB interface unit SL811HS. This paper realizes integrated hardware environment of function units and CPU based on sound analysis of interface features. In software design, an optimized and selected realization has been carried on network protocals. In USB interface functions, this terminal surpport USB mass storage deviceand is capable of write and read FAT32 file system. Optimized TCP/IP protocol and USB function will relatively lower the consumption of the system resource, and can be operated in KT8808 CPU.The actualization of digital language learning system terminal is a powerful tool for language learning. The terminal scheme put forward by this thesis, which is not only low cost, but also meets the current requirment, is suitable for the China's actual conditions. It will have extensive application prospect and market value.
