| Public transit system is regarded as an effective solution to the city's transport jam, while intelligent public transit system, is an important way to monitor and schedule the public transit. Intelligent public transit system is the combination of modern control technology, localization technology, wireless communication technology, ect., China enjoys a remarkable development in this field, especially when our government puts effort to build the national infrastructure.The terminal device on bus illustrated in this paper is a part of intelligent public transit system. It is built by adopting several advanced achievements of modern embedded system. S3C2410 processor based on ARM920T core is employed as major CPU of the terminal device, and Embedded Linux is transplanted in order to manage the resources of the whole system.In this paper, modern public transit system and the background information of embedded system are discussed. The whole system of the terminal device on bus included two parts, control device and volume monitoring device. Control device is designed and developed by employing several peripheral chips and technology such as S3C2410, flash, SDRAM, LCD, touch screen, CANbus, ect., transplanting linux and developing device driver and application software. Volume monitoring device is designed and developed by employing MSP430 processer, CANbus control device, ect. , transplanting μC/OS-II RT-kernel and developing application software. In the paper, Embedded Linux, S3C2410 Bootloader VIVI are analyzed and transplanted. The build of file system, the development of the device drivers and the application program such as the location module, wireless module and the counting module are discussed respectively. In this paper, several technologies which are employed in the system, such as GPS, GPRS, CAN, SPI, μC/OS-II, Qt/Embedded, etc. are also introduced.A summary and a conclusion of the whole paper, and the foreseeing of the application and development of the intelligent public transit system in the future are made . |
