Abstract/Summary:
Wireless data transmission business has been widely applied in hydraulic engineering, transportation, finance, electric power, railway and many other fields. There are lots of different ways of transmission such as ultrashort wave, shortwave, satellite, SMS, GPRS, CDMA, etc. Hydraulic engineering distributes in the field. There are lots of tasks including supervising on the spot, management and direction. Because of the characteristic of hydraulic engineering, the thesis analyzes the demand to the mobile data terminal in hydraulic industry based on investigating embedded computer technology, mobile communication technology and the application of the relative field, makes use of the modern wireless mobile communication technology, embedded computer technology, and develops the embedded mobile information inquiry system integrating embedded ARM processor, uClinux operating system, LCD & touch-screen and GPRS mobile communication module.The key work that has been done is below:1 , Analyze different kinds of wireless data transmission business characteristic, build GPRS data transmission platform and study the theory of GPRS thoroughly.2, Analyze the function requirement of mobile terminal and build mobile terminal hardware platform. Study the development trend of embedded system and develop embedded mobile information inquiry system integrating embedded ARM processor, GPRS mobile communication module, LCD & touch-screen and CF card.3, Analyze software function of terminal and design software application. Study the characteristic of embedded operating system and application software and design terminal software application system using uClinux as its operating system. The development of application includes PPP script dial-up, socket network programme, ucgui user graphic interface and sqlite embedded database.4, Analyze the characteristic of the system used in hydraulic engineering, design the application of server and build mobile hydraulic information inquiry system. The function of inquiry is achieved and the terminal has good user graphic interface.
