The security of network is closely related to the interests of our information society, and the technologies of the security of network are important roles in information technologies. Among these, data encryption technology is said to be the critical one. Elliptic Curve Cryptography is one of the most important cryptography, and compared to RSA which is already widely used, has the advantages of having small key size, low bandwidth and high encryption speed. Nowadays, many groups and some corporations both inside and outside our country develop products of cryptosystems of ECC, and many organizations have been making standardizations about ECC.But the investigation history of ECC is shorter than RSA and the application is also less. Now there is not any valid coding algorithm in encryption and decryption and others also have some problems, so the speed of encrypting and decrypting messages is not suitable for network transmission; also because of its own characteristics of public key scheme of ECC, the algorithm of ECC is complex and less efficient than the symmetry ones. By studying and improving on ECC mainly, this article deals with the design and encryption algorithm implementation of a hybrid cryptosystem based on elliptic curve.The math algorithm of elliptic curve has many operations including the ones over finite field and point group, and this paper analyzes the optimized algorithm one of which is added in the hybrid cryptosystem. The validity of domain parameters, public and private keys of elliptic curve should be verified so as to avoid weaknesses, and this paper applies CA authentication, password encryption techniques PBE and elliptic curve key agreement ECMQV to ensure the correlative security. And in order to realize the hybrid cryptosystem, this paper applies IDEA to keep the information secret, the session key of IDEA which is encrypted by ECC is securely and efficiently distributed, and this paper applies ECDSA and message digest algorithm SHA-1 to keep messages integrated, verifiable and undeniable. The test result indicates that the hybrid cryptosystem based on elliptic curve has a better speed and more efficiently keeps the messages through networks secure than older ones.
