Research On Dynamic Simulation Of Batch Transportation Pipeline

Pipeline simulation is to simulate thermal, hydraulic and equipment parameters of pipeline under different conditions so as to predict operating condition of pipeline under real circumstances. It can facilitate pipeline design, operating schedule and management decision. Pipeline simulation software is the solution to dynamic analysis of pipeline. Wulumuqi-Lanzhou products pipeline is a long distant and hilly pipeline which produced different products with different densities. This article collected a lot of field data. A basic study to work out a operation and offtake program for products pipeline is made, and starting from this point, the operation and offtake program software for Wulumuqi-Lanzhou products pipeline is development. This software can simulates in different operating conditions. It's special for the Wulumuqi-Lanzhou products pipeline and easy to calculate, modify and operate. Through the simulation in different operating conditions, it can get the process of operating the pump station, the head of the pump, the pressure of pump station and the pressure change along the whole pipeline. To verify the precision, a comparison between this software and SPS is made. The results show that this software meets the demand and can put into practice. After operating, the results provide a scientifically directive for the collocation of the pump station. And some safe measures are also suggested according to the simulation for the Wulumuqi-Lanzhou products pipeline can be put into production successfully.
