With the development of technology in the network and very large integrate circuit area, the business of multimedia communication, especially the important of Video communication has become a leading element in net application.With the video business constantly growing requirements of application, many kinds of video communication standards had been burned. The H.264 standard is the newest style video standard produced by JVT(joint video team) in 2003,the goal of the H.264 building is oriented the video application of multimedia.It can adapt to all kinds of net environment and many conditions of application,and it also can acquired good picture effect under low code-rate, these features must attribute to the flexible system of encoder,so H.264 standard will be have broad space in video field.Most VOIP systems are based on SIP or H.323 call control protocols. But the advanced SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) by IETF has its distinct advantages: it is very concise in the structure, easy to be extended and more suitable to access the Internet.It can control the media gate way and efficiently realize the calling in a multi-domain network.Under the circumstance that Softswitch will become the next generation technology of network switch, SIP is considered as the kernel protocol in access layer of the Soft switch technology, and it had been successfully applied to several representative communication systems due to the interest of lots of famous telecommunication companies. From the point of all above, we have carried out a new Videophone plan that is full use of the advantages of SIP and H.264,then it can improve the rate of using bandwidth and QOS of communication, and Videophone can provide more servers by using SIP.Now,we know the interior structures through researching the SIP's procedure and H.264's algorithm,then we use DM642-EVM that is a powerful digital signal developing platform to realizing a new indeed videophone.Eventually,we adopt all kinds optimization means to optimize the program of application,and the videophone attain the requirement of real-time video communication through repeating experimentation.
