With the growth of BT(Biology Technology),the data of biology mounts up exponentially. Various databases have emerged. These databases are characterized by their enormous information, dynamic data and complex structures, because they collect experiment data in biology with different target. It consumes lots of time and energy to query information required from so voluminous information space.Integrated bioinformation retrieval systems appeared recently have solved the problem to some extent, but people have to submit detail forms with high quality and need to know the specific location of the source of information when they use the integrated bioinformation retrieval systems. This is hard to some general user and cannot accommodate the present characteristic of bioinformation or development of future.The characteristics of autonomy, initiative, the ability to learn, intelligent of agent provide a new idea to solve the query and service of bioinformation on Internet. According to this idea, we present a new bioinformation-oriented approach based on agent to enhance the efficiency of query, provide an intelligent tool on Internet to search information that users interested in.We have designed and implemented primarily a personalized bioinformation retrieval system-BioEYE. It is composed of Info Agent, Learning Agent, one personalized information base and one result base. They cooperate and complete the task of query, collection, maintenance and push information that users interested in.
