The paper describers the architecture of a personalized information tracing and checking system, which is based on the WWW. Aiming at the vastness and overload of resources on Internet, the difficulty in obtaining dynamic information and personalized service. the system proposes to combine artificial intelligence and technology of agent and apply them to solve the problem. By making use of intelligent agent technology, machine learning and user information model, the system intelligently, autonomously, and collaboratively retrieves, filters, and fuses various information sources on Internet according to the user抯 need and the task model. And it also stores, maintains and manages the resource information discovered and gathered on Internet. It can update local user information database timely to make it consistent with resources of information on Internet. The system has the features of adjusting to shifting user抯 interests and changing source adaptively, then it is able to satisfy user抯 need for searching and tracing information on Internet.
