The rapid development of Mobile Telecommunication and the coming of 3G indicate the great importance of Personal Communication System. With the application of several new services, the very limited wireless resource is particularly precious, and just for this reason, Radio Resource Management (RRM) has been put on a great importance. Essentially speaking, Radio Resource Management is a group of optimum algorithms, in which coordinated working helps the overall performance of system improve so much.Because mobile communication system is a structure of cell, handover is a necessary process of user equipment when it comes to the verge of cellular. Whether the performance of the handover algorithm is good or bad directly decides the performance of drop rate in system. Ultimately, the drop rate is a key factor of the number of customers the system can accept, therefore, the research of handover is an important part in the research of wireless resource management. One of the most important features of CDMA mobile telecommunication system is the capability of soft handover offered by macro diversity, when in the area of soft handover, user equipment connects with the base station by multi-path(2 in typical instance), this can avoid the termination and make sure the performance of handover. The second feature is that CDMA can supply multiservice with different QoS, a necessary problem to be solved is how to guarantee this QoS in the condition of bad wireless transport environment, mobility and inter-interfere, meanwhile make full use of frequency resource.Based on the two features of CDMA mobile telecommunication, this thesis not only focuses on some research on soft handover of multi-services but also compares the performance of...
