| IEEE802.11a Wireless LAN which utilize OFDM for their physical layer specifications are becoming so attractive due to their spectacular prospects. At the same time multimedia communications needs have also expanded. But amounts of data video signals are large, real-time requirements are high, and wireless channel bandwidth is limited, many factors interferenced, therefore research on wireless video transmission technologies attracted scholars'wide interest.Universal Serial Bus (USB) supports heat puts to pull out, has the capacity of automatic configuration, conveniently be increased. The latest USB2.0 supports high-speed up to 480Mbps. Additionally FPGA users can conveniently not only design the hardware logic required, but re-program and re-configure. This paper aims to realize high-speed wireless LAN video and image transmission using the two main technologies. In the paper the principles and high-speed interface are analized, the requirements of the design are given. System realizing ways are discussed and analysed. Design and realization of the interface system and controllers are analysed and demonstrated respectively in detail. The former includes USB-driven program, firmware. In the latter configuration and power circuits are given, FIFO and SDRAM controllers are realized. Image fusion, image processing and data display.and failures shadowing are discussed. In the end application program (using DirectShow, Multi-threads technologies) and the debugging results and experiments are given.Through the interface and controllers realized, a high-speed data interface achieved, which played an important role in wireless LAN transmission of video images transmission, also can be used for collecting systems. Wireless USB and DirectShow used in this paper make this design outstanding. |
