It designs and ports the LWIP TCP/IP to ST5516 Platform. It mainly includes the following fields:evaluate this stack, improve on the primary ST5516 hardware board,select the NIC (Net-Interface-Control),debug the circuit around this NIC,port LWIP to target board, code the interface of among the stack,web browser& RTOS,module test& integration test,and solve the defects of the interface &stack according to test.It uses the existed platform"EASYARM2000"to port the LWIP TCP/IP first. With this kind of procedure,a lot of experience can be achieved and this is helpful for the whole process of porting the LWIP to the STI5516 platform.Through module test and integration test,a lot of defects and even the bugs of the LWIP TCP/IP can be found.Through the stress test and module test ,the os interface layer of the LWIP can be achieved with great robustness.This paper proves that the LWIP TCP/IP can be port to Set-Top-Box (STB)for commercial aim and upon the modul the STB can upload information and download information.
