| The end-to-end VoIP technology has enjoyed a practical time of market prosperity because of some limitiations of it such as the quality of Voice, though the concept of VoIP was brought forward more than ten years ago. But in recent years, the VoIP technology, having been out of sight for several years, comes into view of us and attacts more and more attention, benefiting from the booming increasement of broadband access users, promotion in policy, investment and the improvement of technology itself. Especially, the VoIP technology based on SIP which was established by IETF becomes a latest trend, due to the explosive evolution of internet and the protocols easy to be implemented.In this thesis, the development of VoIP is firstly introduced, followed by a comparision of H.323 and SIP. As far as the advantage and disadvantage of the protocols is concerned, the detailed analysis of SIP is given to show the outline of this protocol. A solution of VoIP in Linux is put forward based on embed system. The author implemented the configutation of network platform and added the call-hold function of SIP.The research and development of this product mainly concerns software including the porting of OS, Bluetooth stack and network configuration and application of SIP. The hardware is designed and provided by the partner.The main contributions of this thesis are addressed here:1. Research on VoIP and related technologies, detailed analysis of SIP's protocol outline, functional structure, application scenarios and developing trend.2. Put forward an integrated solution of network configuration based on Linux platform.3. Add a new function through SIP stack with the analysis of SIP protocols,Analysis of current challenges and improvement solution on SIP Bluetooth Gateway. |
