Development Of SmartPhone System Based On Windows CE

According to the author's development practice, in this paper, a detail description is given about how to design and develop software for Smartphone system based on Window CE and about some key technology.This paper is organized as follows. In chapter II, main features, architecture and components of Windows CE are introduced after a general view of hardware is given firstly. Chapter III includes an introduction of development tools and a general process of OS customization. In chapter IV, the use of SIM100 module and AT command in the system is explained and the technology of UART communication under Windows CE is also discussed. In chapter V, Windows CE Driver Model, Local Driver and Stream Interface Driver are presented. In chapter VI, some information about Windows CE GUI is given and a comparison between Windows CE and the desktop windows is made.By introducing the software design of Smartphone system, the author aims at describing the functions, features and development technology of Windows CE. Some related works, such as coding/decoding, multi-media, blue tooth, network application, manuscript recognition etc, are not mentioned.
