In this paper a real-time infrared scene simulation method is presented. First, the measured voltage was transformed to the equivalent blackbody temperature of a target, the influence of imaging effects on the measured data was eliminated by the modulate transform function (MTF) reconstruction model of the imaging system, and the atmospheric attenuation was eliminated by the atmospheric transmittance and the radiance through the transmission path. 3D model of the targets were constructed, onto which the radiation texture data was mapped. A virtual prototype was modeled using the parameters of the imaging system, in which the atmospheric effects were simulated by MODTRAN, the Real-time Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) was implemented with graphics techniques, and the imaging effects were simulated by FFT and MTF. And based on the modeled virtual prototype, a real-time infrared scene simulation system was developed.
