Research On Eclipse Based IDE For Embedded Software Development

With embedded systems using widely in communication, network infrastructure, aviation, marine and aerospace fields, we need a powerful software development platform supporting embedded application software development. A good software development platform is a major measure of quality software development environment, which can improve the efficiency of embedded development. At present, both at home and abroad are developing all kinds of integrated embedded development platform. Depth study of the environment software development platform of embedded system is of great significance.This thesis presents the concept and the features of embedded software development platform, and introduces some popular software development platform in the domestic and aboard. It presents the Eclipse platform with the structural characteristics.Subsequently, according to the difference between the embedded software development platform and the traditional development platform, this thesis studies the special functional point that required on the Eclipse platform for supporting embedding system.In order to support automatic project management, the author analyzes the CDT Managed Builder System and every node of the module configuration file, based on which the final solution is built.Against special requirements of memory configuration, combined with the previous analysis of automatic project management, a friendly interface of memory configuration is implemented. In addition, this thesis presents two methods for to integrating some other development tools and integrated a series of monitoring tools with JNI method.This thesis supposes an improved solution on the debugger of this embedded software development platform that makes it support multi-threading debugging on remote debug.Finally, this thesis summarizes embedded software development platform related research and practice, prospects the future development of embedded software development platform.
