The Smartie's genuine name should be PHS (Personal Handy-Phone System), which is a kind of individual wireless access system. Smartie is a technology of quick wireless access, which primarily uses the micro-cell as the access method on the base of the current network of fixed phones. In this situation, each base covers a radius from 100 meters to 200 meters. However, there are some disadvantages. First, the network coverage is not as good as the mobile network which uses the macro-honeycomb technology and it can't achieve the seamless coverage in a big area leaving the network coverage" vacuum". Second, Smartie which uses the 1.9GHZ frequency doesn't have a strong penetration through the buildings.Besides, because the powers of the bases and terminals (the smarties themselves) are comparatively small, it's not easy to maintain the stability of the signals. Since the technical disadvantages are beyond the control of ordinary customers, what we can do is to collect as many signals in a certain area as possible. On the other hand, as a result of Smaritie's less radiation and the low emissive power of the bases to persons and environment, it is popular with a great deal of customers for it's environmental protection. Compared with GSM, it has longer conversation time and stand-by time, which improve the convenience and practicality to customers and therefore increase the attraction to customers. Although the fact that presently the value-added service hasn't developed in large-scale in national scope, with its development, it will be easier to gain and share information. Statistics shows that users of Smartie are in their local cities 90% of the time, therefore Smartie is more practical than GSM for those who don't go out of their cities often and whose living areas are comparatively small. In spite that Smartie has no advantage over roaming, it can also be a good choice to a lot of users.It's no doubt that Smartie TMM has a strong relationship with the operational quality of network. For example, the increase ofusers and civil work of city reshaping and planning and other uncontrollable influential factors may cause the deterioration of electric wave coverage, the low success ratio of callings and the bad conversation quality in a certain region. At present, the initial wireless network can't meet the current need, therefore it's urgent to make some adjustments and expansions to the system resources. That's the optimization of the wireless network. And the subject I've been studied is just based on the current situation of Smartie's network and on account of the actual need of our network's optimization. So telephone traffic data can reveal the existing problems and can be used to adjust the network, which is the most widely used and effective method to optimize the Smartie's network. According to the existing hardware and the software environment of wireless operation terminals, to select the database of the terminal itself as the traffic load gathering system ensures the strong visibility and easy operation. As to the program design, it is based on the convenient application and operation of the maintenance, as well as the easy read and understanding. This system, which was invented over many years optimization experience, is an essential part of network maintenance at present. Furthermore, it facilitates the maintenance personnel to inquire, survey and analyze traffic data.Because this system is an important component of the Smartie network optimization, the program design of this system traffic load flow gathering should be combined with the principle of optimization by calling area, at the same time, the program must have the function of reorganization, formula application, merge, statistical analysis of the telephone traffic indexes. As a result of low emissive power, signals may not be strong enough in some places, such as, far from the windows, the entries and exits,as well as the stairs, the bathrooms, the complex structures in the middle of buildings. Therefore, experts suggest that it is better to choose positions near windows, entries and exits to make calls. The most remarkable characteristic of wirelesscommunications system is user's fluidity, as well as user group'fast development, therefore the network condition especially the distribution of TMM is in unceasing change. The optimization of wireless network has a long way to go, which can not be done in only one day and must be combined with regular maintenance.
