Using vibration signal to monitor machine device is one of the important methods in device maintenance. At present, with the development of internet and computer, real time monitoring system emerges as the new target of enterprise. Using Java programming language to build real-time online software to monitor vibration signal of mechanical device is set as the research target.The software system includes real-time data transmission from acquisition facility to customer terminal equipment and data analysis by client, other than data acquisition function. Real-time data transmission is realized by writing TCP/IP program in Java. The data is transmitted from industrial computer to server, then from server to client computer. According to the interval to run the data sampling program, data transmit program runs every 300 milliseconds. Since system can transmit real-time data of many devices synchronously, multithread and synchronous configuration is used in server. To analyze real-time data and display the result are important functions of this system, which are based on Tomcat, popular WEB server software, and IE, client software. Applet and Swing/AWT of java are basic tools in establishing the system, while the digital signal processing algorithm is the basic tools to analyze data.At present, chief configuration of the system is finished. Real-time data transmission and several popular monitor modules have been accomplished. Practically, two mechanical devices are included and many clients are permitted to use this system at the same time. The accomplished monitor modules include total graph of the device, columnar chart, time-frequency graph, axis trail graph and tendency graph, etc. Simultaneously, for further enriching of the system, some popular DSP algorithms, including DFT, FFT and digital filter, have been accomplished.The system test is accomplished in the network of our research institute. The system is expansible. For example, many other real-time monitor modules can be expanded to enforced analysis function and histories data display and analysis can be realized by the system. The real time monitoring system is effective and useful that can serve customer and can be extended according to the demand of the customers.
