Research And Implementation Of Distributed Network Fault Management System

This paper mainly makes research on the basic requirements and functions of network fault management under the TMN(Telecommunication Management Network) framework which is the standard in building a network management system, and the architecture,design and implementation of the distributed network fault management system. Because most of the traditional network management systems are based on centralized management mode, they can not suit with the development trend of networks, which have larger scale and more complex constructer. The paper first make plenty research on SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol),CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) and Java RMI (Java Remote Method Invoke) ,and then the overall architecture,design scheme and implementation method of the distributed network fault management system are presented in detail.The running performance of the system testified that the distributed network fault management system presented in this paper is effective on large scale network management, and has a better performance than fault management system based on centralized management mode, and has good extendability and flexibility in deployment.
