In October, 1995,"the National Golden Sanitation Project" was set up. The research and development of hospital information system is an important part of sanitation information. The Hospital Information Systems are based on the computer platform, network and database. Using the HMIS can improve the management, improve the quality and make efficiency, etc.From the international information trend, we introduce the basic concept of the HMIS. Then we introduce the research result and applied actuality of the HIS all over the world. We analyze the HMIS's characteristic and the meaning of applying the HMIS. We begin with the system' s requirement of hospital and construction information of HMIS' s system and information' s classification..The design principle of the system's module is put forward.This article emphasizes the analysis and design and study of the Hospital Management Information System. Firstly, based on the developed principle and method of MIS and computer network technique, by the means of the structural system analysis and object-oriented analysis, the paper analyses the system thoroughly, draws the detailed data flow diagram and organizes the data dictionary. Further, the article contains the network system design,database design,systemic structural module chart design and the applied program design during the system design so as to make it possible for realizing the Hospital Management. Moreover, the system is good at interface, reliable in performance and simple by use. Finally,by investigating the safe protecting of management information system, this dissertation bring forwards the safe measure of the Hospital Management Information System, which ensures that this system could be implemented successfully. This paper provides a feasible model for the management work in water rate collection field developing towards modernization scientifically.
