This paper centered on the hardware design of the underwater target tracking system's signal simulator and its related research work. It has carried out detailed expounding on electrical signal simulator's hardware design mainly. The completed work include: completion of the 2-goal & 4-channel simulator design, fpga design, and the PC serial interface control application design.Underwater target tracking system signal simulator hardware design has three main tasks: First, to generate all the signals (except acoustic transducer—outside) which the underwater target tracking system detected by the use of, also include the adjustable SNR including crosstalk signals. This method can realistic simulate the acoustic signals which through the ocean sound channel accepting the effect disturbing. Second is the serial communication interface with the PC. Third, it is prepared mainframe applications, acoustic positioning and tracking system for setting requirements of our target, signal types and parameters. Serial data communications transmitted to DSP via the interim of simulator's fpga from the mainframe. DSP based on parameters set by the mainframe to generate the corresponding signals with the fpga logic controller and pass it to the DAC after the filter output. As additional work, the author also introduced the Bootloader technology of DSP system, power supply module design, DAC output filter design in the paper. This DSP core technology for the establishment of a practical electrical signal simulator system is also indispensable. The hardware system in the laboratory joint commissioning test could work steady, show that the hardware platform and algorithm in accordance with the design requirements.
