JPEG AND JPEG-2000 are the most important standards in still picture.At the same compression rate, The S/N of JPEG-2000 improves 30% than the s/n of JPEG. Before JPEG-2000, multicolor picture uses JPEG to compress, gray picture uses JBIG to compress, there are several standards.But now JPEG-2000 has united several standards, and become the main-storm image coder.Erik van Bilsen proposed A type Image Coding which is an experimental still image compression system that combines intra frame block prediction algorithms from the H.264 standard and the discrete Wavelet image compression technology, followed by context adaptive binary arithmetic coding (CABAC) as used in H.264.In this paper, I proposes an Image Coding which is an experimental still image compression system which combines intra frame block prediction algorithms from the H.264 standard and the specific hybrid Coder image compression technology, followed by context adaptive binary arithmetic coding (CABAC) as used in H.264. Because of hight redundancy of picture, the intra frame block prediction algorithms from the H.264 standard could predicte 50-70% information of the picture.Original picture detract predicated picture is residual picture.Residual pictures is typically zero-dimensional and linear singularities pictures. The specific hybrid Coder is that l proposed in the another paper"An hybrid Coder Scheme Based On The Ridgelet And Wavelet Transform". An hybrid Coder Scheme in another paper could compress typical zero-dimensional and linear singularities images, so the hybrid coder codes residual picture effectively. The result of a compression scheme performs is much better than JPEG and closes to JPEG-2000.
