YHFT-D4 is a new generation of 32-bit fixed point DSP chip designed by the computer college of National University of Defense Technology. It will be applied to the high quality DS transactions such as wireless communication, ADSL, radar, image and multimedia information transaction. With the success of chip design, it becomes very important to develop the YHFT-D4 based embedded system. On the other hand, audio and network have become two popular applications of developing the embedded system and they are indispensable parts in multimedia information transaction. The development of the YHFT -D4 based audio and network systems can push greatly the application future of YHFT -D4.The goal of the thesis is to research and implement the MP3 decoding fast-algorithm on fixed point DSP and to research the development and implementation of the TCP/IP stack based on the YHFT-D4 chip. Firstly, the thesis introduced the development of international standard audio technology of the series of MPEG, the analyses about every module of MP3 decoding algorithm, the basic concept of TCP/IP stack, and the implementation of embedded TCP/IP stack. Secondly, the hardware system related to audio and network is designed to accomplish the TCP/IP's running and data decoding and the control function by using YHFT-D4 chip. Finally, optimization to the algorithm of MP3 decoding, the using of cache and the using software pipeline is done to accomplish the real-time decoding, and the implementation of the Internet function is also done by create a telnet server using the embedded TCP/IP stack, which is designed based on the theory of Internet and the feature of embedded system. The whole system has the full function of MP3 decoding and network transfer, we can implement flexibly several audio signals' transactions and the function of ordering programme on network by software programming.
