Research On Voice Information Service Based On VoiceXML

As important terminal of Internet, computer is the main tool in order to getting information service from Internet. However, traditional ways limit the number of users of Internet, so, the mode of service ways become more and more. In recent years, as a result of browsing technology breakthrough, telephone has become another information terminal.Voice Extensible Markup Language (VoiceXML) is proposed to be applied in the speech browsing technology. Users could get information service from Internet by phone without keypad or mouse. VoiceXML describe speech application from high level without any difficulty when speeching each other and controling synchronization problems. Speech developers will be free from driven-details. Using VoiceXML, just like HTML, you can build Speech application based on web.Based on study VoiceXML and other speech technology, this paper introduced its architecture,application scope,function and characteristics, discussed some key technologies of Speech Application and structure of VoiceXML Browser. Making voice as user interface, Voice-Driven Email Cilent and Voice-Driven RSS reader as instances, this paper has completed the design of Voice-Driven Email Client and Voice-RSS Reader both based on VoiceXML and the implementation of Voice-Driven Email Client. It Contains: Research of Speech Application System's development model; Research of J2EE technology and Web Application System's development model; Analysis of some inportant Email's Protocol( SMTP,POP3 and IMAP4),RSS specification and feasibility of Voice-RSS (extension of RSS specification).
