| The security of WLAN is becoming the biggest trouble for its further application. At present, many stardard organizations and manufacturers of WLAN are trying to solve this problem. However, owing to the serious secure leak in IEEE802.11 stardard, it is impossible to utterly solve the problem by simply adding some remedies. Based on the analysis on the security mechanism, key issues of security, and typical security solutions of WLAN, we take the advantages of those latest techniques of WLAN security and, present a solution for WLAN securityl. The main contributions of this thesis are as follows:1. Intesive analusis on the security mechanism of WLAN. Considering the security risk of WLAN, we analyze possible attacks on WLAN. W describe the security of WLAN in detail, and point out the defects in present WLAN security mechanism.2. Analysis on the key techniques of the WLAN security. We analyze the security of IEEE802.11 standard, as well as the defects in information authentication of IEEE802.11 stardard. In addition, through intensive analysis on WEP protocol and RC4 algorithm, which guarantee the security of IEEE802.11 standard, we not only point out their security defects but also suggest the possible attacks.3. Taking the advantages of those latest techniques of WLAN security and, present a solution for WLAN security. The solution will make preparation for the further combination of WLAN and Internet.4. According the BiShiDa WLAN project, the author used the solution for WLAN security in this project. And describe the detailed procedure of the project, including the problem and the soluting. |
