| As one of the most promising Broadband Wireless Access technologies, WiMAX is paid more attention by many system manufacturers and service providers, because of its special advantage and charm. It is widely anticipated that commercial WiMAX networks will be deployed world-widely and put into operation in the following several years. As a result, research and development of WiMAX technology has become the hottest spot in wireless communication area.During research of the thesis, the author had the chance to take part in the project 'Research and Development for WiMAX Base Station based on IEEE 802.16-2004'. During the project, at first the author took part in the protocol tracing and analyzing, and participated in architecture design of MAC, then dedicated to development of CS, and proposed detailed design project about the part.Under this background, the thesis focuses on the following aspects:1. Research on WiMAX system network architecture, and analyze the architecture of WiMAX air interface protocol stack.2. Based on the research work on IEEE 802.16-2004, deeply analyze and research CS of MAC. Mainly discuss the functions of packet CS and QoS thinking.3. According to VxWorks operation system, discuss the entity and task assignments based on the system architecture and protocol analysis. Furthermore, elaborate on the schemes of CS design and implementation of WiMAX system.4. Point out the shortage of the current version, and provide advices for future work. |
