| With the rapid development of technology, the technique of digitization is used everywhere. Digital TV has become one of the most important research fields in all the international high technology research fields today because of its huge potential economic profit. ChinaIt can see that in the future three to five years the industry of set-top-box will grow quickly.Now ,the set-top-box(STB) become more convenience to use and have more distinguishing feature. The electronic program guide (EPG),as a important part of DTV system, can provide user friendly user interface and be convenient for the user to acquire the program information they want.The main task of this paper is the research and realization of the EPG system on digital TV. this paper research the cable digital television STB which is widely used nowdays. Firstly, we analyzed the standard of Digital Video Broadcast(DVB). Then we research the technique that is interrelated with the design of EPG . Finally ,we design and realize a high speed EPG design. this design changed the order of receiving EPG tables and give a solution to resolve the problem that losing packets when information was sent with a high speed. The main task of this paper is as follow:According to the user's asking and DVB standard,divide the function module of EPG to three parts.After researching the principle of EPG, change the order of receiving EPG tables. the plan is skip PAT and receive NIT directly. It can save the time and system resource.Give a solution to resolve the problem that losing packets when information was sent with a high speed. This problem make STB need a long time to display EPG information. In the most bad situation, the system will halted. To avoid this ,we receive the table based on the parity of the section number.Design and realized rapid dynamic EPG download and appear plan.Using the above technique in the project, giving the detail design of the sub-module of EPG. |
