| With the development of Society, Economy and the improvement of the Information Technology, the geographic information process with computers has changed from the simple data calculation to deal with the multi-property, different construction, and large number of information with Internet. The traditional method of processing information can't satisfy these needs. GIS (Geography Information System) technologies provide a new thought and way to solve the problem.In this circumstance, the Digital Campus must be used for teaching, scientific research, management and communication on the wideband Internet and LAN. However, there isn't standard model for Digital Campus in China. This paper is based on the GIS technology and system to establish the Digital Campus, and prepresent a architecture and implement the publication system of the pipeline which is the important and unique subsystem in Digital Campus on Internet with the WebGIS technology.The paper mainly includes the following parts:Firstly, this paper firstly introduces the concept of Digital Campus, and analysess it in detail. In addition, this paper introduces author's work in developing the Digital Campus. Secondly, based on the research of Chinese and international experiences on the establishment of the Digital Campus, the paper describes the system design of the Digital Campus. Thirdly, with the compare of the productions of WebGIS, we choose ArcIMS for publishing information on the Internet. Fourthly, the paper analyzes the system architecture and publication technologies of the WebGIS based on GIS in detail. Finally, the suitable configurations of the system are chosen, and the Pipeline Information Publication Sub-system of Digital Campus is implemented, according to practical requirments of Digital Campus in Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and through comparing three connectors and two Viewers of ArcIMS. |
