In recent years, ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless communication technology is fully concerned by its so many good characteristics, such as the high speed, the low power consumption and the cost advantages. The traditional UWB technology transmits digital information by modulating the amplitude and the phase of super short pulse. MB-OFDM UWB is the new UWB scheme suggesting that proposed in recent years , already becomes the hot spot studying at home and abroad. Multiple-input multiple-out (MIMO) technology in the use of multiple transmitter and receiver antennas, could improve the capacity of the communication system and spectral utilization ratio at double without increasing the bandwidth and the emissive power situation. In this paper, an attempt to turn the MB-OFDM UWB technology and MIMO technology organic combination provide a new high-speed transmission means.The article is the Extends research content of the National Natural Science Fund Project "Ultra-wideband radio hopping spread spectrum technology", profits from V-BLAST the basic theory, explores MIMO-MB-OFDM the UWB system the optimized design, and carries on the performance evaluation. This article mainly divides into five chapters: The first chapter introduction first introduced the ultra-wideband technology and the MIMO technology survey, including theirs basic principle, the characteristic and the development present situation, then carries on the simple introduction to the MIMO-MB-OFDM UWB research present situation, finally introduced this article research intention and the main work; The second chapter in detail introduced the MB-OFDM UWB wireless communications system plan, including the system frequency band division, the transmitter principle structure and the receiver principle structure, and simply introduced the ultra-wide channel model, finally has carried on the analysis through the simulation to the system performance; The third chapter describes the vertical layered space-time coding system model, carries on the analysis the V-BLAST analysis system channel capacity, finally in detail introduced the zero forcing (ZF) detection algorithm and the minimum mean square error (MMSE) detection algorithm, and compares the performance of the two detection algorithms through the simulation; The fourth chapter in detail introduced the plan of MIMO-MB-OFDM UWB system based on the V-BLAST, in view of the system characteristic, introduced one kind of new MMSE Iterative Soft Decision Interference Cancellation algorithm. Finally has carried on the analysis of the system performance through the simulation; The fifth Chapter is a summary of this work and the next phase of work.MIMO-MB-OFDM UWB system is a new system, it has an attractive prospect. This paper conducted a preliminary study of MIMO-MB-OFDM UWB system, hope to play a positive role in the next phase of research.
