Along with the development of virtual reality technology, especially the popularity of the computer animation, for virtual reality technology, it is seeking an intuitionistic and vivid movement display method to show and simulate the true moving environments besides the traditional static display technology. For this reason, it is one of the important research contents for the movement display technology of objects on 3D-terrain with the display dynamic display technology showed up.Compared with the space movement simulation of 3D-terrain display, it not only needs to solve the problem of that how should the objects continuously change its own position with the changes of natural fluctuation feature of the terrain surface, but also needs to solve the problem of that how should the objects change its movement attitude according to the local feature of the contactile topography for the movement simulation of the objects on the terrain surface. It includes two problems, one is the matching problem of the movement position and another is the matching problem of the direction for the objects moving on the 3D-terrain.3D movement path is an important input for the realization of the matching problem of position and gesture of body movement on 3D-terrain. This paper analyzed the definition of the 3D movement path in two aspects of definition and expression method, and gave the specific resolving method for realizing the 3D movement path in Java3D aimed at solving the problems such as the indirect inputting of the path and the safety problem of the usually curve expressions. The key factor for the realization of matching gesture is solving the terrain matching problem, in which the difficulty is how to calculate the contactile point between the topography carrying entity and the terrain surface quickly and correctly. The difficulty in computing contactile point is influenced by the basic data structure of the terrain surface rendering algorithm. Now, the realization method of terrain matching problem is put forward according to terrain data structure. This close relying on relationship has many shortcomings. This paper gave the specific solution aimed at deficiency in the terrain matching method and the terrain surface rendering algorithm. Besides specific solution of the crucial technology, on the foundation of analyzing and comparing, this paper have completed the visualized generation of 3D-terrain, the establishment of complex model in Java3D, the movement display of objects on 3D-terrain, and the automatic evasion of dangerous local topography etc.
