With the development of the digital signal processing technology, the applications of digital signal processors are increasing. In this paper, the methods of DSP software engineering design and development are discussed through a servo control system as the research object.Firstly, the backgroud and some problems of DSP software development are outlined, and the course and actualities of DSP software design are introduced. Taking a servo system as a practical example, the elements of hardware and the modular structure of software are analysed.Secondly, a general DSP application framework model is derived through implemnting a practical servo system, and a control law for a trinary-closed loop and rotor positions checking units is proposed.Then, a reusing technique of software function modules is introduced, taking thePID module of a servo system as an example. The PWM wave and motor commutating are described, some crucial propeties related to the memories and interrupt calls ae analyzed.Finally, the process of DSP software OOD based on UML is described by implemeting DSP software with the RTW of Matlab...
