Fieldbus is a brand new network integrating automatic control technology, which is based on the open systems interconnection model. It has many advanced characteristics such as full digital communication, intelligent field devices, completely distributed structure and open interconnect protocol. Fieldbus can change the traditional automation from isolating information system to distributed, intelligent control network. LON fieldbus invented by Echelon corporation in the middle of 90s is a network technology used in field of automation control. It has the advantage of unity, open and interoperation.First this paper discusses basic concept of fieldbus. After introducing of basic theory of fieldbus, background of putting forward the task and author's main works, it reviews briefly the develop course of the fieldbus, introduces the advanced character of fieldbus and puts forward the prospect of the fieldbus development. At last the paper introduces progresses of water conservancy in our country. The paper detailedly dissertates the technology content of LON fieldbus form chapter 3. According to the need of designing the intelligent node, it introduces the core technology of LonWorks, including Neuron chip, firmware of Neuron chip, software system of Neuron C language, Lon Works development tools, discusses the theories of interoperability and the methods of realizing the interoperability by Echelon corporation.After introducing basic theories, chapter 4 put forward a design method in shanghai taihu drainage area sluice and pumping station net control system using Lon Works technology. It discusses detailedly the intelligent node realization of the sluice controlling from the ways of hardware and software, including core module circuit, data collecting circuit, power circuit. At the base of hardware circuit, the paper discusses the data collecting and checking, function analysis and control method by using Neuron C language. After that the chapter introduces the bottom network configuration, bring forward a new method that using iLON100 internet server to connect bottom equipments.In chapter 5 the paper discusses the ways of realizing local inspecting function by using Web Access software. In this chapter it includes communication protocol and configuration parameter of configuration software and simple script language. In the end the paper briefly introduces the network fabric of sluice and pumping station net control system based on B/S fabric.It realized real time inspection and water information collection to the Huangpu river in shanghai taihu drainage area sluice and pumping station net control system using LonWorks technology. By the decision-making system we can control the sluice running in optimize way. This system insures the shanghai prevent flood system effectively.
