| Nowadays, the consumption tendency of the high-date-rate multi- media operations, such as Mobile TV, has been popularized all over the world. The realizations and applications of Mobile TV is keeping making progress. In the meanwhile, the competition among Mobile Network, Broadcast Network, and Satellite Network is fiercer and fiercer. Mobile Network has the advantages of its wide coverage and high performance. At present the researches on Mobile TV in Mobile Network are mainly focus on the technical-level realization, but are less associated with the real Mobile Network deployment. So far, there is almost no domestic commercial case about Mobile TV in Mobile Network.GSM is restricted by frequency and WCDMA is restricted by power. Different from above two systems, the mobile network system will be restricted by power and code when the high-data-rate multimedia operation applies. For WCDMA, repeated computation check is no longer easy. What's more, the processes are more complicated for HSDPA (WCDMA's upgrade version), which are the actual characters of the high-data-rate multimedia operation with limited resources. Also, Mobile TV has a new technical carrier, MBMS, and a different plan subsequently after 3G.Based on traditional deployment methods and Mobile TV's specialties, combining the theory with practice, this thesis discusses the general procedure and the key issues of high-data-rate multimedia applications in Mobile Network such as Mobile TV. These key issues include the coverage and the capacity.Based on the original data collected from real environment, this thesis calculates the coverage and capacity on applications of Mobile TV under different technologies. The author sincerely hopes the new deployment processes and the conclusions are helpful for other high-data- rate operation network plans and applications. |
