| Pure sense of entertainment news rises in China just for nearly twenty years. Entertainment news has the essence of entertainment naturally which narrows its theoretical studies. Most Discussion on entertainment news focused on the critique Vulgarization. Instead, the deep theoretical studies for entertainment are much fewer. But entertainment itself has the social values which can not be overlooked. So the detailed analysis for entertainment's existing and social values is not only an objective assessment of the entertainment news, but also provides a new theoretical perspective for journalists and some reference for the future development.The article is divided into four sections. The first part reviews and summarizes the entertainment's produce, development, social causes and unique characteristics. The second part focuses on the social values of entertainment news and detailed analysis the underlying positive side of entertainment news from its impact on politics and economics, psychological satisfaction to the audience and concept changes to the media. The third part objectively analyses the existing problems of the entertainment news and also the causes of these problems, through which hoping to warn the entertainment journalists. Part four finally looks toward the possible future of entertainment news.This paper uses the method of combining theory and practice to analyze the case of entertainment news and analyze the questions'causes and significance at the same time. Although this article can not cover all aspects of entertainment news, but it can put forward some new thinking for journalists and make entertainment news more responsive to the society and times'development. |
