Hollywood movies outline the historical changes in American news values over the past century,using a mature and complete set of "stitching techniques" to covertly symbolize the American value system into human common public values,in order to achieve cultural control at the ideological level.This article will use the method of text analysis,combined with the theory of ideological criticism,to sort out the news values in 52 Hollywood movies from the early 20th century to the 1980s,and then to include 88 relevant movies in the era of Internet civicization into the research scope,and analyze the Internet era.The adherence to and reform of journalistic values by journalists.From a historical perspective,In the early 20th century,News values lack of clear image shaping;In the 1930s,The journalists in Hollywood movies emphasize weird anomalies,Extremely keen on sensational scoop;In the 1940s,The spirit of "liberalism"has been battered,News organizations became wartime ideological machines;After the war,News values tend to be diverse,Focusing on the narrative framework of "thought release" and "right struggle",The news emphasizes seeking truth and good,benefiting the people;Between the’70s and’80s,The spirit of uncovering ugliness reached its peak.In the online era,under the game of commercial interests and public interests,the social public instrument in the film mainly presents four constant news values,namely,truth first,self-interested commercialism,people’s fighter and national interest first,that is,news should not only defend personal interests,but also be responsible for facts,serve the people and benefit social development on the basis of maintaining survival.As a social watchman,the newsman changes the value choice when he excavates new problems,new signs and new clues.On the one hand,the spirit of "fourth power"gradually recedes,the investigative report gradually falls,the tendency of news entertainment is serious,and the orientation of news value becomes "Yizhuang Yihe".At the same time,the film’s self-interested media people have no bottom line,shoddy disasters,accidents,crimes and other news to the reporter and his relatives and friends caused many injuries,the number of false news multiplied,objective and neutral news values were questioned,the principle of absolute transparency violated the individual privacy.On the other hand,the freedom of news turns to the freedom of information,the timeliness of news leaps to real-time,the media pays more attention to the opinions and attitudes of the public,and the power pattern can be reorganized.In addition,the film’s journalists also pay more attention to the fate of small people and marginal groups.Compared with the real society,the political orientation of the news in Hollywood movies is more concealed,and the voice of "taking out the value of dung" is rising,keeping a look for the news industry for the people of the entertainment to the dead.
