Research Of Maintenance Process Of Core Telecommunication Softwares And Implementation Of Maintenance Tools

With the development of telecommunication softwares, their maintenances become more and more important and the problems in maintenance process are more obvious, especially to the core telecommunication softwares. The core telecommunication software is the one that provides value-added service and operation support for telecom carrier. So software maintenance process model should be developed for core telecommunication softwares to improve the maintenance process.This thesis discussed the software maintenance process model of core telecommunication softwares and implementation of maintenance tools. Activities of maintenance process are divided into two types in the software maintenance process model of core telecommunication softwares. One type of activities is called primary processes and the other is called supporting processes. Compare software maintenance process model of core telecommunication software with other software maintenance process model, activities of primary processes are much more fit for core telecommunication softwares and activities of supporting processes introduce thinking of CMM/CMMI. Based on this maintenance process model, two kinds of maintenance tools are developed. The one is Management Support Platform and the other is Butterfly workflow management system. They cooperate to assist process of core telecommunication software maintenance.Four parts constitute the thesis.The first part introduced the concept of software maintenance and characters of maintenance process of core telecommunication softwares The second part analyzed three kinds of software maintenance process model. Base on this, the third part introduced the software maintenance process model of core telecommunication softwares and implementation of maintenance tools. In the last part of this thesis, the writer summarized the work and presented the next work of maintenance of core telecommunication softwares.
