The Acquisition Research Of High Speed And Probability In Space Laser Communication

Free space laser communication technique is a new high tech whichdelivers advantages such as high transfer rate, low consumption and stronganti-interference ability. The technique of the acquisition, pointing andtracking (APT) of beam is very crucial in space laser communicationtechnology. Meanwhile, the technique of high speed and probabilityacquisition is a very significant technical guideline of APT system. In thispaper, the composing, working process, function and key technique of ATPsystem are introduced, and the acquisition unit is especially emphasized. Thepaper focused on the factors related to the time and probability of acquisitionas well as the optimized selection of those factors. The hardware ofacquisition unit is also described. The end of the paper introduced the resultsof the simulation calculation and the field experiment of acquisition time andprobability. The results will provide academic and experimental basis forboth the selection of the hardware in the acquisition process and systemdesign.
