Research On Production Line Virtual Designing

The manufacturing industry is the sustaining industry of national economy and total national strength, concerning the development of the national economy and the people's livelihood. The production line is a key element in the manufacturing industry. In order to meet the production demands, this thesis elaborates the modeling method and arrangement algorithm in production line virtual designing.Many of the systems oriented to the production line design at present are constructed on 3D modeling software, and they need to manage a lot of geometry data in the designing process which delays the efficiency. In order to solve the problem, this thesis investigates the domestic and aboard status for the production line design at present and then proposes a two-layers framework, combing design layer with simulation layer, and thus provides a method of smoothing the contradiction between design efficiency and 3D visualization.In design layer, this thesis probes deeply into production line modeling theory, and presents a process-oriented modeling mechanism; introduces process models into the production line design and then realizes the consistency between the models and their expressions by utilizing mathematical tools to describe the models structures and their combination relationships. Then the thesis analyzes the principles and methods in production line layout, and gives out a recursion algorithm based on step increment to improve the layout computation. In simulation layer, the thesis uses UG as graphics platform and CAPP as process planning guidance, simulating the production line unit locations.Under the support of Hi-Tech Research and Development Program of China, A prototype of production line virtual design is researched which is useful to support production line visual designing.It can afford technical support for production virtual designing and can help manufacturers make production line with better investment and lower cost.
