| Private communication network is a kind of communication network which is built in a certain industry, department or corporate to meet its internal production, management, command and control needs. As the private communication network has characteristics of smaller scale and smaller number of users, if it wasn't connected to the PSTN, the value of the network would be limited. Being connected with PSTN is one of the most rapid and effective ways to increase the value of the communication network. Under this background, a solution which can successfully connect SDH Integrated Service Transmission Network with PSTN is put forward in this paper.The thesis first analyses and discusses the problems of existing interconnection solution of Melit SDH Integrated Service Transmission Network, secondly puts forward and compares two new solutions called respectively V5 and SS7, thirdly particularly probes into the Design & Realization of SS7 DTU Interface from two aspects: hardware and software. On the aspect of hardware realization, the thesis first gives a brief overview of the narrowband voice service platform of Melit SDH Integrated Service Transmission Network, secondly presents the basic call flow of the voice service platform, thirdly discusses the hardware structure design and chip choice in detail. On the aspect of software realization, the thesis first discusses the outline design of the programme, including the systematic modules division, the systematic tasks division, the message transmission mechanisms between various modules and the realization of layer modules. Secondly the thesis details on the key technical issues of the system such as the communication principles and initialization of SCC, the realization of common function module and so on. After the realization discusstion, a presentation is made on the testing of the SS7 DTU Interface from the aspects of testing environment and testing content. The results of the testing are summarized and analyzed in the following.The conclusion about this whole thesis is at the end of the paper, which includes the strongpoint and shortcoming of the solution and points out the reformative way. Testing results have shown that the SS7 DTU Interface effectively resolves the existing interconnection problems of Melit 2.5G SDH communication network. As an independent functional module, it can also be used in the interconnection for other types of private communication networks with PSTN. |
